A hydrogel eye mask is a pre-cut gel patch made from a water-rich gel matrix that adheres to the skin without adhesive. It holds active ingredients in suspension and releases them onto the skin as the patch warms to body temperature.
Do the eye masks help reduce puffiness?
Yes. The cooling gel helps constrict the vessels under the lower eyelid, which reduces fluid pooling and visibly de-puffs the eye area within about 15 to 20 minutes.
Should I refrigerate the eye masks?
You don't have to, but you can. Chilling them for about 15 minutes before use intensifies the cooling and de-puffing effect.
