Who We Are | Face Pilates — Skin Care Born in a Luxury Spa

Who We Are

Performance skin care, born inside a luxury spa.

Face Pilates was created by Thomas Tullo — founder of AMAN Spa in Toronto — for people who want skin that actually gets healthier, not skin that just looks better for a weekend.

The Origin

It started with a question no one was really asking.

Face Pilates was born inside AMAN Spa, a luxury clinic at 47 Colborne Street in Toronto, where founder Thomas Tullo spent years working hands on with the faces of clients who could afford anything. Injectables. Lasers. The most expensive sheet masks money can buy. And yet, week after week, he kept hearing the same quiet frustration: the results never lasted.

Thom started his career split between rehabilitation clinics and high end spas. That dual training gave him a perspective most aesthetic professionals do not have: he sees the face as living tissue first, and a surface second. Skin, muscle, fascia, lymph, bone, and the circulatory system are all part of how a face looks. Treat one without the others, and you are leaving most of the result on the table.

So he started building a treatment from the tissue out.

The Treatment

Eight months of research. Eight steps. Forty-three muscles.

Thom’s first version was a face massage. It was popular, but he knew it was only working on part of the picture. So he disappeared into the science. He studied how the facial muscles, the lymphatic system, the circulatory system, the connective tissues, and the skin itself each respond to different forms of touch and technology. He tried tools, modalities, and combinations until, after eight months of research, he launched the first Face Pilates treatment.

It is a 75-minute, eight-step session that activates all 43 facial muscles with precision — a personal training session for your face. Fascial stretch therapy, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, buccal massage, microcurrent, and cryotherapy — chosen because each addresses a different tissue or system the others cannot reach.

One step uses electronic muscle stimulation to work out the facial muscles, building tone and restoring proper function. To carry the current and feed the skin during that step, Thom needed a conductor. He started with the best luxury masks he could find — 111Skin, Dr. Babor, BioEffect. They were beautiful products. But none of them were doing what the treatment was actually trying to do: build lasting tissue health from the inside out.

So he set out to build one that could.

Why It Works

Beautiful skin is an energy problem.

Thom hired a cosmetic chemist and spent more than a year researching what actually gives people good, healthy, beautiful skin in the long term. The answer turned out to be simpler — and stranger — than the industry wants to admit. It comes down to energy.

Your skin cells run on ATP, the energy currency every cell uses to repair itself, divide, build collagen, hold water, and clean up damage. ATP is produced inside your mitochondria, and that production needs a specific set of supporting ingredients to keep flowing. If your cells do not have the energy to act, it does not matter how much collagen you take in, how many growth factors you apply, or how expensive your peptides are. You get a temporary, superficial result that fades the moment you stop.

Face Pilates Reformer Masks are formulated around three ingredients chosen specifically to support that energy system.

NAD+

The coenzyme energy depends on.

NAD+ is the coenzyme your mitochondria require to produce ATP. More NAD+ means more cellular energy, better DNA repair, and stronger protein production — the building blocks of healthy skin.

NMN

The on-demand backup supply.

NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) is converted by the body into NAD+ on demand. It acts as a strategic reserve, smoothing out energy regulation when your cells are under stress — from sleep loss, sun, pollution, or age.

Creatine

The energy buffer.

Creatine keeps ATP production from bottlenecking. It rapidly cycles ATP and stores it as a buffer the cell can draw from when demand spikes — the same molecule athletes use, applied to the cells that make your face look like itself.

Around that energy core, Thom layered the ingredients clinical masks usually rely on, at clinically meaningful doses. Glycerin, Betaine, Trehalose, Sodium Hyaluronate, and Panthenol attract and lock in moisture, plump fine lines, and reinforce the skin barrier. Vitamin C (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate) brightens and protects against oxidative stress. Centella Asiatica, Aloe Vera, and Ectoin calm irritation and build resilience under stress.

Then he chose the delivery format for each formula on purpose. Biocellulose for the face mask — a dense, second-skin material that holds serum against the skin and drives deeper penetration. Hydrogel for the under-eye mask — a softer, cooler material designed to conform to the delicate orbital bone and the thinnest skin on the body.

The Philosophy

We are not in the business of band-aids.

Face Pilates exists to create products and treatments that work in the long term — that supplement the skin and tissues, support the cells that build it, and produce real change over time. Like exercise, the health and aesthetic benefits are inseparable, and both come through consistency. We want you to love the skin you are in. That starts from the inside out.
